Have you ever wondered what it would be like to dress like you were fabulously wealthy?

Just because you aren’t rolling in the money doesn’t mean you can’t look the part!

Dressing like a multi-millionaire comes down to a simple set of shopping and fashion skills.

You don’t need to spend a large amount of money on clothes if you are able to put together a collection of clothes (a capsule wardrobe) that makes you look chic!

Below are 15 tips on how to dress like you’re a millionaire woman.

1.) First Choose Solid Colors

It’s always fun to throw on an animal print jacket or a multi-colored dress. But put these items on hold until you know how to wear them.

When you’r first creating your “millionaire wardrobe”, invest in clothes that are solid colors – not busy prints!

Solid prints always look classic, sophisticated, and bit more expensive.

A little black dress, dark-colored jeans, a white shirt, cream-colored sweaters, a navy blazer, and other similar pieces of clothing can be mixed-and-matched to make your wardrobe go much further – while looking extra chic!

2.) Keep Your Nails Well-Manicured

You don’t need to get your nails done in a nail salon for them to look well-groomed.

Always avoid bright colors and fake nails! Even though they are “in style” right now, they are not considered classy.

Always go for a natural looking nail – natural-colored polish (light spring colors) or a simple french manicure.

3.) Keep Your Purse Basic

A designer bag is always a good place to start if you want to invest in something expensive.

However, if you don’t have a designer purse, keep it basic!

A minimalist leather tote, a simple clutch, or a basic handbag are always classy.

Remember, never choose a purse with a logo!

Retailers like TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshall’s have several brands of affordable, classic purses.

Side Note: There is no need to invest in an expensive Gucci belt! Any classy leather belt will do just fine!

4.) Invest In Several Blazers

A blazer is a serious power-move when it comes to millionaire fashion!

A blazer can dress-up a pair of jeans, a simple dress, or a pencil skirt.

Choose a blazer that is black, blue, plaid, or hounds-tooth.

With the solid blazers, you can always add gold buttons on it to make it look even more expensive!

Fashion Tip: Pair it with a turtleneck. It gives off an elite & classy vibe!

5.) Keep Your Denim Dark & Unripped

Even though it is currently in style, ripped jeans and light denim do NOT look sophisticated.

If you want to have the “millionaire look” you are going to keep your denim dark and sleek – with a well-tailored look.

6.) Add a Camel Coat and Trench Coat to Your Wardrobe

Two timeless pieces that immediately give you the “I have money” look!

You cannot go wrong with a camel coat and a trench coat. They will never go out of style and will always be classy.

7.) When In Doubt, Wear Black

Black is an incredible color!

It hides stains, helps you lose a few pounds, and always looks sophisticated.

A black dress with black tights, black shoes, and a black jacket makes everything you’re wearing look like it cost a fortune.

Side Note: There is no need to invest in an expensive Gucci belt! Any classy leather belt will do just fine!

8.) Wear a Watch

When possible, invest in a good-quality watch.

However, affordable watches can still look incredibly chic!

Too much jewelry can look gaudy and out-of-place. But a simple statement watch will always make an outfit look a bit more expensive.

9.) Keep Your Hair Conservative

Crazy haircuts and brightly-colored hair is out!

Keep your hair a natural color and a feminine length.

Some women can absolutely rock a buzz-cut, but usually this isn’t the case.

If possible, keep your hair at least shoulder length. And always keep it clean – with a dash of volume.

10.) Wear Simple Jewelry

It’s time to put aside the big, dangling, mall-store earrings. *Sorry*

Instead opt for more simple jewelry.

Small diamond-stud earrings, a simple gold necklace, and a small gold band.

And no, it doesn’t need to be real diamonds, gold, or silver!

Side Note: Gaudy jewelry does have it’s place and it can look expensive. Just wait until you find a certain style that you KNOW works for “the look” you want.

11.) Old-Fashion Dresses are always a win

If you find a dress or a skirt that reminds you of Jackie Kennedy or Audrey Hepburn, it’s a WIN WIN!

Old-fashion clothes give off the “old money” vibe that you want!

And classic outfits never go out of style.

12.) Add a neck scarf

With all the neutral-colors that you are adding to your wardrobe, a neck scarf is a great way to add some color!

Start your scarf collection now! It’s a very cost-effective way to accessorize because they never go out of style.

13.) Choose Your Shoes Wisely

All of us would love a shoe closet like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City!

However, it would take a gigantic closets and a mountain of money to make that happen.

Instead, choose shoes that are conservative and timeless.

Invest in a few pairs of loafers, ballet flats, and neutral-colored heels.

Remember, keep your heels a conservative height. If they are too high, they will give off the “I’m going clubbing” vibe.

14.) Keep It Classy – Not Sexy!

Always avoid trying to look too sexy. Your goal should be to look classy!

Tight mini skirts, low-cut or crop-top shirts, and body-con dresses should be avoided.

You can wear shorter dresses and skirts, but always ere on the side of classic & chic.

Ask yourself, “Would Jackie Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn wear this?”

15.) Keep Your Makeup More Natural

A classic red lip and black eyeliner is always classy!

However, excessive false eyelashes and bright-colored eye-shadow are big no-nos.

It is currently trendy to contour and highlight your face. But it can look far too excessive and gaudy if done incorrectly.

When doing your makeup, try to enhance your natural beauty. Don’t go over-board!

When it comes to animal prints, don’t go too crazy!

Wear prints and styles that you know are timeless.

Stay away from “modern trends” that tend to be a bit overboard.
